Music composer Ilaiyaraaja's request to move his lawsuit with Sony Music Entertainment from Bombay to Madras High Court has been rejected by Supreme Court, on Monday. In 2022, Sony filed a suit against Ilaiyaraaja in order to stop him from using 536 musical compositions, towards which they assert ownership. Ilaiyaraaja's plea was to avoid needless litigation from two separate courts.
