The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a plea challenging the Karnataka government’s decision to invite Booker Prize winner Banu Mushtaq to inaugurate the Mysuru Dasara festival. The petitioner argued that a non-Hindu should not perform the puja at Chamundi temple. "It’s purely political…reason why they should be brought inside the temple for religious activity," the court stated.
