The Supreme Court has dismissed a plea seeking delimitation to increase assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The petitioner claimed excluding them while allowing it in Jammu & Kashmir was unconstitutional. The Court said Union Territories and states differ constitutionally, and cited Article 170(3) as a legal bar against delimitation in the two states.
