On Monday, the Supreme Court of India declined an urgent plea that seek protection against threats to theatres planning to screen Kamal Haasan's film 'Thug Life' in Karnataka. The court directed the petitioner, Karnataka Theatres Association, to approach the High Court instead. The association approached the HC earlier but was reportedly asked to negotiate a compromise with those sending threats.
