In a rare move, Supreme Court reversed its August 2024 judgment of granting a child's custody to his father, after child's medical reports suggested decline in his health in mother's absence. Initially, she was given custody in 2015. However, in 2023, High Court granted permanent custody to father. The mother had challenged HC judgment, but SC had dismissed the appeal.
