The Supreme Court on Tuesday sought responses from nine states- UP, MP, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand and Karnataka on petitions challenging anti-conversion law, granting them four weeks to reply. Petitioners argued the law harasses inter-religious couples and restricts religious practices, report said. The court listed matter for hearing in six weeks.
