The Supreme Court on Monday stayed two FIRs filed against psephologist Sanjay Kumar over mistaken analysis of the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections. However, the court said, "Normally we would not have entertained this." Sanjay had apologised over the error. Notably, Congress had used the data provided by Sanjay to allege "vote theft" in the state.
