The Supreme Court will hear challenges to the recently passed Online Gaming Act 2025 after it allowed the Centre's plea to transfer all such petitions from High Courts to itself. The apex court will now test the validity of the law that bans real-money online gaming. Notably, the Act proposes up to two years of imprisonment for advertising real-money games.
