The Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of the Assistant Superintendent of Central Jail, Ludhiana, Punjab in a criminal conspiracy case. He along with others was accused of planning and helping one undertrial prisoner escape while they were in a vehicle after court hearing, however, they were unsuccessful in their alleged mission. Two head constables were injured in this case.
