Supreme Court on Monday ordered that disturbed elephant Mahadevi, who has been in custody of a Jain Bhattarak Math near Kolhapur, Maharashtra be rehabilitated to a sanctuary. A Bench consisting of Justices JB Pardiwala and R Mahadevan upheld an order of Bombay High Court to provide relief to 36-year old female elephant who killed chief priest of Math in 2017.
