In view of heavy rains and swelling of the Ganga River, schools in Prayagraj and Varanasi will remain closed until August 7. The shutdown includes all boards ranging from pre-primary to Class 12. The local authorities have warned citizens against venturing on riverbanks and obeying all safety warnings.
