Scientists at the California Institute of Technology have developed a smart capsule named 'PillTrek', which can travel through the gastrointestinal tract and track vital health indicators in real time. 'PillTrek can monitor pH levels, temperature, glucose levels, and the serotonin hormone, which influences mood and gut health. It measures 7 millimetres in diameter and 25 millimetres in length.
