Scientists in new study uncovered an assassination plot for power in ant species in which a parasitic ant queen "tricks" ant workers into killing their queen mother. The invading ant enters the nest by pretending to be colony member before spraying the queen with fluid that causes her daughters to turn against her. The invader then takes over the colony.
