SEBI barred trading expert Sanjiv Bhasin and 10 others from securities market and ordered them to return ₹11.37-crore unlawful gains for allegedly indulging in front-running scam related to stock recommendations. Bhasin recommended stocks on TV and social media after having already taken positions in those stocks. When his recommendations caused prices to rise, he sold those stocks at a profit.
