SEBI received 703 settlement applications in FY25, marking a 62% surge from the 434 pleas in FY24. The regulator collected ₹799 crore in settlement charges, reflecting a growing preference for dispute resolution without going through the litigation process. Of these 703 pleas, 284 were disposed of by passing appropriate settlement orders, while 272 were returned, rejected, or withdrawn.
