The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is considering raising the proposed cap on fees that mutual funds pay to brokerages, Reuters reported, citing sources. This comes after SEBI earlier proposed to slash the limit from 12 basis points to 2 for cash market transactions as part of a structural overhaul. SEBI will conclude consultations with stakeholders by mid-November.
