Karnataka Home Minister G Parmeshwara said Section 144 has been imposed in Karnataka's Mandya after police had to resort to lathi charge on people protesting against the stone pelting during Ganesh Visarjan on Sunday. Communal clashes had erupted in the town after stones were allegedly pelted by miscreants from another community. The situation is under control now, Parmeshwara added.
