Karnataka IPS officer Seemant Kumar Singh has been appointed the new Bengaluru Police Commissioner. This comes after the Karnataka government suspended Police Commissioner B Dayananda and other top officials following a stampede that claimed 11 lives during RCB's IPL victory celebrations. Singh was serving as the Additional Director General of Police for the Bengaluru Metropolitan Task Force.
