Indian Railways is launching a pilot project to introduce metro-style entry gates at 12 busy Western Railway stations, including Bandra Terminus, Borivali, and Andheri. The initiative aims to reduce overcrowding, enhance safety, and prevent fare evasion through controlled access and security checks. Elevated decks will also be built to manage footfall and streamline commuter movement.
