The benchmark equity indices extended their gains for the third consecutive session on Thursday, supported by positive global cues and easing geopolitical tensions. Sensex jumped 1,000 points or 1.21% to end at 83,755, while the Nifty 50 closed the session 304 points or 1.21% higher at 25,549. About 127 stocks hit 52-week high while 37 stocks were at 52-week low.
