Benchmark index Sensex slumped 849.37 points to end at 80,786.54, while the Nifty closed 1.02% lower at 24,712.05 on Tuesday. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance, Trent Limited, Mahindra and Mahindra, Bajaj Finserv, and Reliance Industries were among the top Sensex losers. Meanwhile, Hindustan Unilever, Maruti Suzuki India, ITC, TCS, and UltraTech Cement were the top gainers.
