Sensex climbed by 1046.30 points to end at 82,408.17, while Nifty jumped 319.15 points or 1.29% to close at 25,112.40. Rallies in Japanese, South Korean, Hong Kong and Chinese stock markets, strong buying by both domestic and foreign institutional investors and rise in Indian rupee value contributed to the rise. A 2.45% fall in crude oil prices also contributed.
