After remaining shut for Ganesh Chaturthi, domestic benchmark indices opened in the red on Thursday following the US imposing 50% tariffs on Indian goods. Sensex slipped 624 points to 80,162; Nifty fell 184 points to 24,528. Midcap was down 1%, while Smallcap slipped 1.12% in trade.
