Sensex recovered sharply by 490 points to end in red at 81,185 on Thursday, a day after US President Donald Trump announced a 25% tariff and penalty on India. Nifty also tumbled after recovering from its day low of 24,635 to end at 24,768. Hindustan Unilever and Eternal were among the highest gainers on both market indices.
