Multiple people have been detained by police after a video showing a mob vandalising the Ashoka emblem at Hazratbal shrine in J&K went viral. The chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Darakhshan Andrabi, is calling for legal action against those who removed the emblem, including the use of Public Safety Act (PSA). The vandalism took place on Friday.
