Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) warned of "severe shock" to Indian exporters as US President Donald Trump's 50% tariffs on Indian goods came into effect from Wednesday (August 27). Two-thirds of India's goods and services worth $86.5 billion exported to US will be affected, it said. Notably, US remained India's largest trading partner for fourth consecutive year in FY25.
