Union Home Minister Amit Shah asked BJP leaders in Karnataka to overcome past differences and work unitedly, state party president BY Vijayendra said. Some leaders had opposed Vijayendra's presidency, accusing him of "adjustment politics" with the ruling Congress. They had also criticised him and his father, former CM BS Yediyurappa, for trying to keep the party in their clutches.
