Police registered an FIR against the Sharda University administration after the father of a BTech student, who died by suicide in his hostel room, filed a complaint alleging abetment. He alleged that the administration failed to inform the family when his son had been missing classes. The 24-year-old had cited study pressure as the reason for taking the extreme step.
