The Rapido driver, accused of slapping a woman in Bengaluru after she reportedly asked to end the ride midway due to rash driving, claimed he was verbally abused and hit before he retaliated. He claimed she began speaking to him rudely, asking, "Are you illiterate?" "She tried to hold my collar...She took a tiffin box and hit me...twice," he stated.
