Actress and model Shefali Jariwala, who passed away aged 42, had revealed she was paid ₹7,000 for 'Kaanta Laga'. "I was in college...and I come from a family of academicians, so my parents told me to focus on my studies. But I wanted to do it... I wanted to see myself on TV," she had told Times of India.
