Meghalaya Sports Minister Wailadmiki Shylla announced that Shillong will host the Tri-Nation Women’s Football Tournament from Oct 21–27 at the JN Stadium. India, Iran, and Nepal will compete in the event, organised by the AIFF. Shylla said the state is fully prepared after hosting major tournaments like the Durand Cup and AFC qualifiers.
