The Supreme Court on Wednesday criticised Madras High Court and Tamil Nadu government over suspension and arrest of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) HM Jayaram. "You can't do this. This is demoralising," the court stated, pointing to Jayaram's 28 years of service. Jayaram was briefly arrested in connection with the abduction case of a teenager.
