AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi called the acquittal of all accused in the Malegaon blast case disappointing, saying it was a result of shoddy investigation and a prosecution that went "soft". He asked if the Centre and the Maharashtra government would appeal the judgement, just as they had challenged the acquittal of the accused in the 2006 Mumbai train blasts case.
