After a law student was gang-raped at a Kolkata college, father of Monojit Mishra, one of the accused, said, "If the judiciary...finds him to be guilty, he should be given the toughest punishment." He stated, "I will not pursue the case or fight a legal battle...I cannot afford it." Four people including a security guard were arrested in the case.
