Talking about KKR not retaining Shreyas Iyer ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction, KKR CEO Venky Mysore said that the IPL 2024 title-winning captain was the first name on their retention list, but things didn't work out. "The retention process isn’t a one-way street," Mysore added. He suggested that Iyer wants to test his market value at the auction.
