Team India skipper Shubman Gill on Thursday recorded the highest Test score by an India captain. He achieved the feat after crossing the 254-run mark in India's first innings against England in the Edgbaston Test. He broke the previous record held by Virat Kohli, who scored 254*(336) against South Africa in Pune in October 2019.
