Maharashtra Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik said dangerous spots should be closed down temporarily during monsoon to prioritise the safety of tourists. This comes after a portion of a bridge collapsed over the Indrayani River in Pune on Sunday. The closure must be maintained until dangerous spots are fully repaired and adequate security arrangements put in place, she added.
