Late filmmaker Shyam Benegal has been honoured posthumously with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 70th Filmfare Awards. The 'Manthan' director passed away aged 90 in December 2024. Benegal's daughter Pia accepted the award on her father's behalf. Veteran actress Zeenat Aman was also given the Lifetime Achievement Award. Filmfare also paid tribute to iconic 'Sholay', which completed 50 years.
