Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Kapil Sibal questioned Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar's inaction on the notice submitted by 55 MPs for moving an impeachment motion against Allahabad High Court Judge Shekhar Kumar Yadav. Sibal said the government is trying to protect Yadav who "engaged in hate speech and incitement to communal disharmony" at a Vishva Hindu Parishad event in 2024.
