Former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, speaking about announcing his retirement during Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia last year, said having to sit out of Test matches on away tours more frequently eventually got to him. He added that his decision wasn't due to a lack of commitment to the team but was driven by a desire to spend time with family.
