Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said flood situation in the state is more severe than in 1988. "When country was in crisis, Punjab always stood with the nation...Today Punjab is in crisis, and I'm hopeful that entire country will stand with Punjab." Government officials said floods have affected 2.56 lakh people in the state, causing damage to lives, property and crops.
