India's migration patterns are shifting as demand for skilled labour surges in Europe, Japan, Singapore, and Africa, says Dr Irudaya Rajan, who has studied and researched the subject for many years. While 20 million Indians are already working abroad, this number could increase to 40-60 million in the time to come, he says, even if the US shuts its doors.
