The senior batters of the Bangladesh team have come under serious scrutiny after they failed to give impetus through their batting in the loss against New Zealand in Rawalpindi. When asked if these seniors are automatically selected for the team irrespective of their form (Rahim hasn't scored an ODI half-century since March 2024), skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto denied such claims.
