India opener Smriti Mandhana broke the world record for scoring most women's ODI runs in a calendar year. With her 23(32) against South Africa in their Women's World Cup 2025 match, Mandhana took her tally of ODI runs in 2025 to 982 in 17 innings. She broke the previous record held by Belinda Clark, who scored 970 runs in 1997.
