Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Thursday said that the state government is planning to give official ID cards to snake rescuers and accident insurance coverage of ₹10 lakh to recognise their services. "Snake rescuers often risk their lives to protect villagers from venomous snakes and ensure that the reptiles are safely relocated to their natural habitats," he added.
