As the nation observes 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur, Sobha Singh’s serene 1975 portrait of Guru Tegh Bahadur has taken pride of place in the celebrations. Housed at Andretta studio-gallery in Himachal Pradesh, the painting is deeply researched, symbolic, meditative. It is being used widely by government, Sikh organisations for print and digital tributes.
