A study presented at ENDO 2025, the Endocrine Society's annual meeting in San Francisco, found that socially isolated people between the ages of 60 and 84 are 34% more likely to have diabetes and 75% more likely to have poor blood sugar control. "These findings underscore the importance of social connections for the well-being of older adults," said the researcher.
