Solar Defence and Aerospace has entered the race for a ₹20,000 crore Ministry of Defence tender to build 87 MALE drones. These UAVs are intended for high-altitude border and maritime surveillance for the armed forces, requiring over 30 hours of endurance. Solar will leverage its new, dedicated UAV testing facility to develop the platform locally.
