Sonam initially offered ₹4 lakh to hired killers to murder her husband Raja Raghuvanshi, but later raised it to ₹20 lakh, reports said, citing police sources. According to a Meghalaya Police officer, she had paid ₹15,000 in cash to the killers, Hindustan Times reported. Sonam allegedly conspired to kill Raja as she wanted to be with her lover Raj.
