Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his hunger strike on Wednesday and was shifted to a hospital. The protest comes after demonstrators demanding Ladakh statehood and constitutional guarantees clashed with police in Leh, and stormed the BJP office, setting it on fire. Wangchuk had been on a 35-day hunger strike, observing the last 15 days in protest for constitutional guarantees.
